Wellness has several synonyms like wellbeing, eudemonia, fitness, wholeness, robustness, shape, strength, vigor.
For many people, wellness means physical fitness, holistic care, happiness, relaxation, emotional balance, stress reduction, quality of life and spiritual health. However, many people agree that wellness is more than just being free from illness; it’s a proactive way of living.
The World Health Organization defines wellness as a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing, not just the absence of disease.
Wellbeing is defined by the Oxford English Dictionary as “the state of being comfortable, healthy, or happy.” However, it is important to realize that wellbeing is a much broader concept than moment-to-moment happiness.
Personal wellness means being physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually healthy. A healthy lifestyle helps balance all these aspects to achieve wellness. Your decisions and choices will impact both your short-term and long-term wellness.
Wellness is the state of good mental, physical and emotional health. An example of wellness is eating correctly and exercising every day. … The condition of being healthy or sound, esp. as the result of proper diet, exercise, etc.
Wellness, whether it be at home or at work, is a conscious, self-directed and evolving process of achieving full potential. It is multidimensional and holistic, encompassing lifestyle, mental and spiritual well-being, and the environment.
Wellness is positive and affirming.
In understanding the difference between health and wellness, in short, health is a state of being, whereas wellness is the state of living a healthy lifestyle. Health refers to physical, mental, and social well-being; wellness aims to enhance well-being.
There are five building blocks that enable flourishing – Positive Emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, and Accomplishment (hence PERMA) – and there are techniques to increase each. Different people will derive well-being from each of these five building blocks to varying degrees
A wellness plan is a plan of action geared towards achieving personal wellness.
Wellness is dynamic, exciting and of different dimensions.

Wellness is multidimensional including: Spiritual, Physical, Emotional, Career, Intellectual, Environmental, Social (SPECIES). These are the major components from the above ten dimensions.

• Develop — and stick to — daily routines.
• Practice good sleep hygiene with a regular schedule.
• Devote your time to deep and loving friendships.
• Prioritize self-care.
• Find some time for regular exercise.
• Check out a good book.
• Enrich your diet.
Steps to a Healthy Living
 Drink more water.
 Get enough sleep.
 Exercise.
 Eat more fruits and vegetables.
 Get enough sunlight.
 Cut down on processed foods.

Factors Of Wellness
There are eight aspects to your wellness. They are body, mind, environment, spirit, community, emotions, finances and work.
Wellness has less to do with how you look and much more to do with your whole being.
