Responsibility For Workplace Safety

Safety hazards include slips, trips and falls, operating dangerous machinery and electrical hazards. Those that work in the utility sector are more likely to be at risk of safety hazards. These hazards should be removed, reduced or have protection against them and everyone at the workplace should be well informed about them.
Health and safety at work is everyone’s responsibility. Employers have responsibilities towards you. You have responsibilities towards your employer and your co-workers. Your employer is responsible for making sure that the workplace is safe, and that your health and safety are not put at risk.
